We have stayed at plenty of places in Clarens and like to try something new everytime, but after finding this jewel we will definitely make this our home away from home in future. Riaan is an outstanding host and Deirdre is one of the most awesome people I have ever met. The accommodation is wonderful and beautifully decorated. Even the donkeys, Hansie & Grietjie added to the ambiance ❤ We will recommend staying here to everyone wanting to visit Clarens. Thank you Riaan and Deirdre for making our stay extra special... From the moment I first set foot on the premises I felt a calmness come over me. The venue is at the foot of the mountain. It took my breath away. The house we stayed in was so beautiful. The interior so colorful. The bedrooms so tranquil. The people so friendly. The service was truly amazing - 5 stars. The venue is at the foot of amazing mountain routes and just a walk away from town so it is really the best of both

We stayed in Clarens at this accommodation and were pleasantly surprised at the hidden gem.
Situated in the valley with a excellent view to the mountain, and walking distance from town,this self-catering accommodation had a newly refurbished duplex in pleasant pastel colours of light blue and white with two bedrooms and a kitchen, lounge area with outside 1st floor decking overlooking the mountain, a huge shower and bath area all in very good condition.
We would certainly recommend this accommodation for it's position and friendly manager, Adrian.

Beautiful,situated right next to this mountain,this must be the best kept secret in Clarence.We stayed in the newly renovated section,overlooking the lovely garden.There are hiking trails outside where you can walk through a fairy tale world.Not youre average run-of-the-mill guest house.

We spent 2 lovely nights at the Mt Rouge Guest House - we were booked into "The Attic"which was so comfortable - they had put a lot of thought into ensuring comfort for their guests. We love spending time in Clarens !

Adrian is one of the best hosts ever met. Always willing to assist and supply braai fires One of the most beautiful surroundings and well kept facilities. The Self catering accommodation is of high standard and all needed essentials are available.

Reception on our arrival was excellent, everything was explained to us about the accommodation, where to go for pleasure and shopping, how to get there. The location was perfect for relaxation and the premises were clean and quiet.

A lot of space, a quiet place, great view, very friendly - perfect for us! We can highly recommend it. Clarens is next to the Golden Gate National Park, which is a wonderful place to do some hikes, to watch Zebras etc.

Happy stay in the winter season. Beautiful venue a little bit away from the noise of the main square. We had a lovely view from our room. Great host with good recommandations. We will surely go back...!

Loved our stay at Mont Rouge. Riaan our host was very accommodating and helpful. The Lavender room was very comfortable, underfloor heating and electric blanket made it very cosy on the cold evenings. Mont Rouge is just out of the centre of the town so easy to get to all the restaurants and quaint shops. The view of the mountain is awesome and the walks are easy.
